Meade routinely sends our crews in assisting local municipalities and utilities in restoring power and services to thousands of customers. Listed below is a short list of the major events Meade has assisted in the past few years.
The National Weather Service reported an EF3 tornado late in the evening on June 20, 2021, with 140 MPH winds, and a 16-mile long path impacting the communities of Naperville, Woodridge, Darien, Burr Ridge and Willow Springs. Meade crews were dispatched to assist in replacing damaged equipment and restoring power.
Meade responded with clean-up efforts in early January 2021 from an ice storm which caused power outages and numerous road closures due to weighed down power lines or from damaged trees.

Dayton, Ohio area communities were dealing with clean-up efforts in June of 2017 after storms left thousands of homes without power as heavy rains, strong winds and hail caused significant damage to power lines and homes. Our Meade crews from Indianapolis were dispatched to restore power.
